About Utrecht Summer School
Utrecht Summer School started in 1987, has now become Europe's largest academic summer school. The program now offers a broad selection of over 200 academic courses in a number of disciplines. HKUST-nominated students will join Utrecht Summer School in in-person mode only and must select from the course lists that are available to HKUST students:

For HKUST nominated partnership (in-person) students:
- must select courses from this course list: https://www.utrechtsummerschool.nl/courses/partner_discount_courses; and
- must take all course(s) in face-to-face mode with program location in Utrecht, The Netherlands only; and
- must take course(s) to form a study program of at least 4 consecutive weeks' duration; and
- each of the course you take must carry at least 3 ECTS credits.
Students can choose to apply either one, or both "Exchange" and "Partnership" option(s) in your program choices.

Earliest course start date is 7 Jul 2025.

- Host Institutions may provide orientation activities for students, with some mandatory, which you should attend. You are required to pay attention to the host institution's arrival information and arrive in time.
- You should only depart after completion of the program (i.e. finishing all final examinations and/or assessments, both compulsory and optional ones).

Eligibility and Application Process
HKUST students must apply through the Office of Global Learning. Individual direct application to the host institution will not be accepted. You are eligible to apply for the program if you:
- will be 18 years old by the commencement of the program; and
- meet the course requirements of the selected courses described on the course pages; and
- fulfill the requirements listed under HKUST Summer Study Abroad Program brochure page.
