About National Taiwan University
National Taiwan University (NTU), founded in 1928, is one of the Taiwan's oldest and most prestigious institution of higher education. Located in Taipei, it offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate programs across various fields, including science, humanities, engineering, and social sciences. NTU is renowned for its research excellence and vibrant campus life, attracting students from around the world.
About NTU Plus Academy
In this program, students will have the opportunity to participate in all fields of research at NTU's state-of-the-art laboratories led by their respective professors. Laboratory work consists of working with other Graduate students of the university, as well as other participants in the program. Students can immerse themselves in Taiwanese culture through a range of activities and daily interactions with locals. It provides the opportunity to experience college life in a different country and environment.
Students may select up to 3 faculty members from the NTU Plus Academy Faculty List whom you would like to collaborate with during the research program based on your academic goals and interests. Fees
This is a fee-paying program and HKUST students will bear the program fee and the costs for accommodation, travel, visa, insurance, personal expenses and other fees incurred by the program. Please CLICK HERE for more information.

Eligibility
HKUST students must apply through the Office of Global Learning. Individual direct application to the host institution will not be accepted. Students who have fulfilled the below requirements are eligible to apply for the program:
Visa Information
Depending on your nationality and the length of your stay you may need a visa to enter Taiwan. Please refer to NTU for information.
Insurance
HKUST students who take part in the University's study abroad programs will be covered by the University's Travel Insurance Plan. Please CLICK HERE for details.
Accommodation
NTU may assist in arranging off-campus accommodation at Pure Co-living by 9floor, and bookings can only be made via our application website for program participants. More details can be found under section "Accommodation & Fee".
