Université Catholique de Lille
Created in 1875, the Université Catholique de Lille is the largest private university in France. It is a member of the Union des Établissements d’Enseignement Supérieur Catholique (UDESCA – Union of Catholic Higher Education Institutions,) of the European Federation of Catholic Universities (EFCU) and the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFUC).

About LILLE European Summer Program
The LILLE European Summer Program (ESP) is a four-week academic course offering to students (and instructors) from around the world the opportunity to experience French culture firsthand at the heart of Europe and be part of an international, multicultural student community. LILLE ESP is tailored to suit student's objectives and challenges, while balancing educational and social activities. Students can choose from a large variety of electives to fulfil their interests and expand their horizons.

Fees
This is a fee-paying program and HKUST students will bear the program fee and the costs for accommodation, travel, visa, insurance, personal expenses and other fees incurred by the program. Please CLICK HERE for more information.

Eligibility
HKUST students must apply through the Office of Global Learning. Individual direct application to the host institution will not be accepted. You are eligible to apply for the program if you:

Visa Information
Depending on your nationality and the length of your stay you may need a visa to enter France. Please refer to the website of Campus France and ESP for information.
Health Insurance
The French Government requires non European Union students (EU) spending more than 3 months in France to register to the French health insurance, called “Sécurité sociale” (social security). Please CLICK HERE for details.
HKUST students who take part in the University's study abroad programs will also be covered by the University's Travel Insurance Plan. Please CLICK HERE for details.
Accommodation
HKUST students must stay in one of the accommodation options offered by the host institution (if applicable). If you choose not to stay in any of them, you must obtain a pre-approval from HKUST by emailing OGL at study.abroad@ust.hk.
