About Masaryk University

Masaryk University is situated in Brno, a historical city 3 hours away from Prague with a huge student population which is a unique place to live and study. About Masaryk Winter School - International Security: Practical Insights Winter
This dynamic course aimed at practical analytical skills involves academic classes, practical exercises, active group work, guest presentations from practice and field trips. It is ideal for students studying international relations, politics, security studies or policing, criminal studies, international relations, history or international law. The programme is ideally located for students to be able to gain an overview and basic grasp of modern security analysis from a European regional perspective on both the hard and soft security threats to international security.
This programme includes 3-day excursions to Budapest, Prague and Vienna.

Fees
HKUST-nominated students can enjoy a program fee discount of EUR 400. Besides the program fee, students will bear costs such as travel, visa, insurance, personal expenses and other administrative fees.

Accommodation
Students will be housed in student dormitories arranged by the host institution. Students will be sharing the room with other students. Details of accommodation arrangements can be found HERE (please refer to the "Accommodation" section under respective program pages).
