Program details

The Program comprises the below 3 components.  Participating students must attend and participate actively in ALL of the below:

• Take the academic course: "Tropical Sustainable and Renewable Energy", with details below:
  • The course bears 2 UI academic credits.
  • The course comprises in-class lectures and site visits/excursions.
  • Official transcript will be issued upon course completion.
• Take Bahasa Indonesian class
• Join Indonesia culture program

Please note that the itinerary is subject to change as requested by the host institution and/or HKUST.

Fees

This is a sponsored program and HKUST will sponsor the program fee, flight ticket, and accommodation fee. HKUST students will bear the costs of meals and personal expenses.

Fees that are already covered

• Round trip flight ticket between Hong Kong and Indonesia
• Visa fee (if applicable)
• Accommodation fee
• Local transportation involved in site visits/excursions/tours organized by the host institution

Fees that are NOT covered

• Meals
• Personal expenses

Flight arrangement

Students participating in this program MUST travel to the destination in one group. HKUST Office of Global Learning will arrange group travel for participating students. Below is the preliminary flight information.

Hong Kong to Indonesia: 27 July 2024 (Sat)
Indonesia to Hong Kong: 25 August 2024 (Sun)

Students are usually given a short notice period to confirm your air ticket (i.e. within a day). Please watch your mailbox very closely after you have received your offer (including your junk folder).
