Program Overview

About Ewha Womans University

Founded in 1886, Ewha Womans University is Korea’s first pioneering educational institution for women. It has since grown to become one of Asia’s most prestigious universities, with over 3,000 students visiting from more than 60 different countries each year. Through various short and long-term programs, students have the opportunity to experience Ewha’s leading global infrastructure and quality excellence in a variety of initiatives. This demonstrates the Ewhaian tradition to exist ‘non nobis solem’-not for ourselves alone, but for the good of all humankind.

With 26,000 students and 198,000 alumni, Ewha has a strong presence around the world and works hard to live up to its global reputation. The university is proud of its long history at the forefront of education in Korea and is determined to train tomorrow’s leaders, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to make a difference in the world. During the 21st century, Ewha has truly become a global place to study, research, and experience life in Korea.

About Seoul

Seoul is the capital of South Korea. With a municipal population of over 11.8 million, and a metropolitan population totaling over 25.6 million, Seoul is by far South Korea's largest city and one of East Asia's financial and cultural epicenters. A fascinating blend of ancient traditions and cutting-edge digital technology, home to endless street food vendors and vast nightlife districts, an extraordinarily high-pressure educational system and serene Buddhist temples, a trend-setting youth culture and often crushing conformism, extraordinary architecture and endless monotonous rows of grey apartment buildings, Seoul is a city filled with stark contrasts.
