About University of Southern Denmark
The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) was established in 1998. SDU has 5 academic faculties: Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Engineering. The campuses of the university are represented in 6 cities: Odense, Esbjerg, Kolding, Copenhagen, Slagelse, and Sønderborg - all with main focus on education and research.
Odense campus
Odense is the main campus of SDU, and nearly all the university’s programmes are represented here.
University of Southern Denmark in Odense is the university’s largest campus and at the same time the largest educational institution of the Region of Southern Denmark. Nearly all the university’s programmes are represented here. The campus is located roughly three kilometers from the city centre and is larger than the Principality of Monaco. Upwards of 20% is woodland area, and we use just as much energy as a town of 15,000 inhabitants.
Sonderborg campus
The university and the local companies are closely connected in Sonderborg. The main aim is to create synergy between students, researchers and companies in order to facilitate entrepreneurship and innovation. This ensures an attractive study environment and a flow of knowledge which all parties benefit from. With researchers and students from more than 50 countries, SDU Sonderborg offers a unique international environment.

Step 1: Complete HKUST application form and submit supplementary documents
Step 2: The Host Institution Application (TO BE COMPLETED AFTER YOU ARE NOMINATED BY YOUR SCHOOL)
If you are nominated, you will be notified to submit a formal host institution application. Your School will provide you with detailed information and application instructions in due course.
