The Australian National University (ANU), established in 1946, is a national research university located in the capital of Australia, Canberra. ANU has seven academic colleges - Science, Engineering and Computer Science, Business and Economics, Health and Medicine, Arts and Social Sciences and Asia and the Pacific. ANU has 3 campuses, Acton campus in the heart of Canberra, Kioloa Coastal campus on the south coast of New South Wales adjacent to the village of Kioloa, and North Australia Research Unit Campus in the Northern Territory.

About Canberra

Canberra is the capital city of Australia which is located at the northern end of the Australian Capital Territory, south-west of Sydney and north-east of Melbourne. Lake Burley Griffin divides central Canberra, the central shopping and commercial area, known as "Civic", on the north side and the parliamentary triangle and embassy area is on the south side. Canberra is a wonderfully green little city, with a lively and sophisticated dining and bar scene, interesting architecture and a smorgasbord of major institutions to keep even the most avid culture vulture engrossed for days on end.
