About Linkoping University
Linkoping University (LiU) was founded in 1975, it is one of Sweden’s larger academic institutions and among those that offer the largest number of professional degree programmes, in fields such as medicine, education, business, economics and engineering. There are four campuses in three cities: Campus Valla and Campus US (both in Linkoping), Campus Norrkoping (Norrkoping) and Campus Lidingo – Carl Malmsten Furniture Studies (Stockholm).
About Linkoping University Summer Academy
In 2016, Linkoping University (LiU) launched its first International Summer Academy. More than 80% of the students who participated in the 2016 student survey stated they would recommend LiU Summer Academy to fellow students.
This experience gives international students an opportunity to study abroad for one month. They have several high-quality courses to choose from and will gain cultural insights together with other international students from all over the world. All courses are taught in English and are full-time.

* Notes:
- Some courses in the Linköping University Summer Academy have preparatory exercises before arrival to Sweden. Students who enroll in these courses must complete the preparatory exercise as per the host institution’s instructions before the program starts.
- The date above indicate the period of mandatory activities in the programs. They do not include travel time, pre-arrival preparation, orientation, etc.
- Host institution may organize orientation activities for exchange students before the start of the program. You should refer to the acceptance package and pay attention to the expected arrival or pick-up dates specified by your host institution.
- You should only depart after finishing all the final examinations and program requirements since host institutions will not make special arrangement for taking any examinations other than scheduled.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria
- Applicants should be in good academic standing with a CGA NOT lower than 2.150 in Fall Term 2023-24. (Students are expected to maintain good academic standing in Spring Term 2023-24.)
- Applicants will have completed at least 2 regular terms of study in the School of Engineering but will NOT have completed all degree requirements by the end of Spring Term 2023-24.
- Students in the BEng+BBA Dual Degree Program are eligible to apply.
- Applicants should have a good command of the English language.
- All applicants must attend a selection interview held by the School of Engineering in February. Absence from the interview without prior approval from the School of Engineering Exchange Office will result in automatic rejection of the application.
- Applicants who have been disqualified by the School of Engineering from Engineering Summer Exchange Program cannot apply.

Step 1: Complete HKUST application form and submit supplementary documents
Step 2: The Host Institution Application (TO BE COMPLETED AFTER YOU ARE NOMINATED BY YOUR SCHOOL)
If you are nominated, you will be notified to submit a formal host institution application. Your School will provide you with detailed information and application instructions in due course.
