Program Description:

Summer University DTU

Summer University DTU is an opportunity for students to take courses over the summer.

Courses

Summer University DTU offers courses with instruction entirely in English for BSc and MSc students of engineering or related natural science programmes. The selection of courses can be found in the course database at http://kurser.dtu.dk/search. Search on 'Summer University' for details on courses in June and July. You can also search on the individual months.

Date

3-week period in June: 6 June to 26 June 2024 (3 weeks)
3-week period in July: 8 July to 26 July 2024 (3 weeks)
3-week period in August: 5 August to 23 August 2024
**Students must take 2 consecutive periods among the 3 Periods provided (i.e. June & July or July & August).

Fees

Nominated exchange students are exempted from tuition fees. Students are required to pay for the accommodation fee and other living expenses.

Eligibility

You are eligible to apply for the exchange program if you are:

  • All undergraduate students in the School of Science (priority given to year 2 or above students)
  • AND having CGA at 2.5 or above (students with CGA below 2.5 may still submit application; offers will be granted under special consideration)

Application Process

To apply, click the "Apply Now" button on this page. The whole application process has two steps.

Step 1: Complete HKUST application form and submit supplementary documents
 
Step 2: The Host Institution Application (TO BE COMPLETED AFTER YOU ARE NOMINATED BY YOUR SCHOOL)

If you are nominated, you will be notified to submit a formal host institution application. Your School will provide you with detailed information and application instructions in due course.

Visa Information

Details on visa application will be provided by partner after nominated by School.

Health Insurance

The School will help students arrange the subscription to the University's Travel Insurance Plan.

Accommodation

The host institution will assist you in finding housing.
