About Renmin University of China
Located in Beijing, the capital of China, Renmin University of China is one of the most famous universities in the country. It is the first modern University in the People's Republic of China. Its origin was ShanBei Public School founded in 1937, and over the past seven decades, RUC has developed into one of the key comprehensive research-oriented universities. RUC has 25 schools covering disciplines in social sciences, humanities and fine arts and natural sciences.
About RUC International Summer School
RUC International Summer School provides opportunities for young scholars world wide to work together for new experience, knowledge and insights. The program does not focus only on the Chinese language, but on all aspects of Chinese life and culture. As a student in this program, you will have opportunities to take part in well-organized projects, offer input in the management of the program, and interact with regular Renmin University students who can share their perspectives on life and living in China.

- You should only depart after completion of the program.

Travel-related Information
Students would need an appropriate travel permit to travel to Chinese Mainland. Your travel permit validity should cover the whole study abroad program period. Students who require visa to participate in the program are responsible to take care of the visa applications on your own.
Insurance
HKUST students who take part in the University's study abroad programs will be covered by the University's Travel Insurance Plan. Please CLICK HERE for details.
Accommodation
On-campus accommodation is available and can be requested during your online application. Please note that rooms are limited, so if no rooms are available at the time of your application, you may join a waiting list and will be notified if a spot opens up due to cancellations.
