Program Description:


About Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)

KAIST was established in 1971 to model a research focused university and to foster elite human resources in science and technology needed by the nation. To meet the new demands of producing young talents who care for global citizenship and social responsibility, KAIST offers cross-disciplinary academic and research. About KAIST International Summer School

KAIST International Summer School (KISS) is to have students enjoy their summer vacation while pursuing academics at KAIST by offering enjoyable academic courses, extra-curricular activities, and excursion opportunities. Field trips and cultural excursions will be available.
HKUST-nominated exchange students are only allowed to take Track 1 (Course-oriented Program) and are required to take 2 courses with 6 credits during the 4-week program.

1 - 26 Jul 2024 (4 weeks)

Notes:

  • Host Institutions may provide orientation activities for students, with some mandatory, which you should attend. You are required to pay attention to the host institution's arrival information and arrive in time.
  • You should only depart after completion of the program (i.e. finishing all final examinations and/or assessments, both compulsory and optional ones).


Fees

Students must be nominated by HKUST. HKUST-nominated exchange students will have tuition fee waived. For fee details, please click HERE.

Visa Information

To check whether or not you need a visa for your participation in this summer program, please contact the nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate Office or visit the website of Ministry of Justice Korea Immigration Service for information.

Health Insurance

HKUST students who take part in the University's study abroad programs will be covered by the University's Travel Insurance Plan. Please CLICK HERE for details.


Accommodation

All KISS participants are required to stay in dormitory during the program period.
