About Summer Exchange at Koç
Koç University’s Summer Exchange Program aims to create a rewarding summer experience in a Mediterranean country for students from both partner and non-partner universities. It combines high-quality courses and the opportunity to participate in local activities throughout the Summer School.
For HKUST nominated exchange (in-person) students:
- must take course(s) to form a study program of 8 consecutive weeks' duration
Program Date
8 weeks; 25 June - 16 August 2026
* Notes:
- Host Institutions may provide orientation activities for students, with some mandatory, which you should attend. You are required to pay attention to the host institution's arrival information and arrive in time.
- You should only depart after completion of the program (i.e. finishing all final examinations and/or assessments, both compulsory and optional ones).
Fees
HKUST-nominated exchange students will have the tuition fee waived. HKUST students will bear the costs for accommodation, meals, travel, visa, insurance, personal expenses, and all other costs incurred by the program.

HKUST students must apply through the Office of Global Learning. Individual direct application to the host institution will not be accepted. You are eligible to apply for the program if you:

Visa Information

Health Insurance
HKUST students who take part in the University's study abroad programs will be covered by the University's Travel Insurance Plan. Please CLICK HERE for details.
Accommodation
HKUST students must stay in one of the accommodation options offered by the host institution (if applicable). If you choose not to stay in any of them, you must obtain a pre-approval from HKUST by emailing OGL at study.abroad@ust.hk.
Student housing applications are processed by Dormitory Management. The information about the application will be sent to accepted students around late April to May 2026, and it will include details on when to apply, how to apply, fee information, and the required steps.
