About Peking University
Peking University is a comprehensive and national key university. The campus, known as "Yan Yuan"(the garden of Yan), is situated at Haidian District in the western suburb of Beijing, with a total area of 2,743,532 square metres (or 274 hectares). It stands near to the Yuanmingyuan Garden and the Summer Palace.
PKU has effectively combined research on important scientific subjects with the training of personnel with a high level of specialized knowledge and professional skill as demanded by the country's socialist modernization. It strives not only for improvements in teaching and research work, but also for the promotion of interaction and mutual promotion among various disciplines.

About PKU Summer School International
Academic courses with PKU credits are offered for undergraduates, graduates, and working professionals. A variety of course credits, subjects and durations are available to choose. Fieldtrips as well as extracurricular and social events are also arranged for participants to get more deeply immersed in the local culture and campus life.
Students who are nominated by HKUST are required to take in-person courses with a consecutive study abroad duration of 4 weeks with the options below:
(1) 1 course in Session A + 1 course in Session B
(2) 1 course in Session A&B
Course enrollment are highly competitive and students are reminded to have a flexible course selection plan.

Notes:
- Host Institutions may provide orientation activities for students, with some mandatory, which you should attend. You are required to pay attention to the host institution's arrival information and arrive in time.
- You should only depart after completion of the program (i.e. finishing all final examinations and/or assessments, both compulsory and optional ones).

Travel-related Information
Hong Kong and Macao students would need an appropriate travel permit to travel to Mainland China. International students are required to obtain a visa for entering Mainland China and students are responsible to take care of the visa application process.
Insurance
