About Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), as one of the higher education institutions which enjoy a long history and a world-renowned reputation in China, is a key university directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the People's Republic of China and co-constructed by MOE and Shanghai Municipal Government. Through 121 years' unremitting efforts, SJTU has become a comprehensive, research-oriented, and internationalized top university in China.
SJTU has 28 schools/departments offering 64 undergraduate programs to 16,195 undergraduates. The university faculty includes 2,835 full-time teachers. SJTU enjoys an increasingly high scientific research level and technology innovation level.

- Host Institutions usually organize orientation activities for exchange students, with some mandatory, which take place 1 week before the start of the term. You should refer to the acceptance package (if applicable) and pay attention to all the important information provided by your host institution.
