The Ewha International Winter College (EIWC) opens your gateway to an unforgettable academic and cultural experience in the heart of Seoul, South Korea. It offers an exceptional opportunity for students from around the world to immerse themselves in Korean culture while engaging in high-quality academic programs. At EIWC, you'll expand your global network, develop essential communication skills, and gain a deeper understanding of Korean culture.
HKUST-nominated students are required to take courses delivered in face-to-face format. Cultural activities and field trips are also available for students. Course information can be found HERE.

Visa Information
To check whether or not you need a visa for your participation in this summer program, please contact the nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate Office or visit the website of Ministry of Justice Korea Immigration Service for information. Please also check EIWC's website for more information.
Students who are required to obtain a visa are recommended to apply D-2-8 Short-term Student Visa instead of C-3-1 visa. Please ensure to allow ample time for your visa application process. You can also check EIWC's website for more information on the Visa Application Procedure by clicking here .
Insurance
HKUST students who take part in the University's study abroad programs will be covered by the University's Travel Insurance Plan. Please CLICK HERE for details.
Accommodation
HKUST students must stay in one of the accommodation options offered by the host institution (if applicable). If you choose not to stay in any of them, you must obtain a pre-approval from HKUST by emailing us at study.abroad@ust.hk.
