About AEARU Winter Abroad Program 2021-22 - Winter Abroad at Yonsei (Virtual)
The AEARU Winter Abroad Program is a 3-week online program organized by Yonsei University. The program offers online courses from diverse areas, e.g. Korean studies, Korean Language, Management and Economics, Science & Technology and Social Sciences. It is an excellent opportunity for students to pursue their academic interests from a safe place, and enjoy the companionship of students from all over the world.
HKUST students who are nominated to participate in the AEARU Winter Abroad Program 2021-22 will join Session 1 of the Winter Abroad at Yonsei (WAY) program through online mode and will enjoy a 50% discount on tuition fee.

Course Information
All WAY courses are credit-bearing. Students who wish to take 3 courses are required to seek advice from the host institution. Course descriptions can be found via this link. The host institution may cancel a course should there be insufficient enrollment. In such case, students will be notified and may be able to switch to another course.
HKUST-nominated students are only allowed to take courses through online mode. Online classes are conducted in different modes, including real-time, pre-recorded video etc. Students should read the course description carefully. Yonsei University has a strict attendance policy, students are required to attend class punctually according to the class schedule. Instructors will take mark for attendance and punctuality. You are also expected to engage actively in the online classes and complete course requirements. So, please commit to giving your full attention during the scheduled class, and be a good representative of HKUST.
Fees
50% discount on tuition is offered to HKUST-nominated students. HKUST-nominated students will bear all other fees (if any).

Step 1: Complete HKUST application form and submit supplementary documents
Step 2: The Host Institution Application (TO BE COMPLETED AFTER YOU ARE NOMINATED BY HKUST)
If you are nominated, you will be notified to submit a formal host institution application. Detailed information and application instructions will be available in due course.
