About University of Chinese Academy of Sciences
Located in Beijing, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) was formerly knows as the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the first graduate school in China. UCAS started to enroll undergraduate students in 2012 with mission of cultivating innovative leading talents in science and technology for the future of the nation.
UCAS has 11 Schools & Colleges, e.g. School of Mathematical Sciences, School of Physical Sciences, School of Astronomy and SpaceScience etc. It has 4 campuses which are located in Yuquanlu, Zhongguancun, Olympic Village and Yanqihu. All the campuses are equipped with libararies, and teaching and research facilities. UCAS students can have full access to collections and electronic literature database of the National Scientific Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

Special note
- Host Institutions usually organize orientation activities for exchange students, with some mandatory, which take place 1-2 weeks before the start of the term. You should refer to the acceptance package and pay attention to the expected arrival or pick-up dates specified by your host institution.
- You should only depart after finishing all the final examinations (including resits) since host institutions will not make special arrangement for taking any examinations other than scheduled.

Eligibility
As stipulated by the host institution,
only students from Hong Kong and Macau and Mainland China will be accepted.
There is CGA requirement of
3.5 or above. Students who have completed
two years of studies are eligible to apply for the program (i.e. Year 3 students or senior by the time of joining the exchange program). Students can choose to
apply one of the majors in UCAS: Mathematics and applied Mathematics (數學與應用數學), Physics (物理學), Chemistry (化學), Biological Science (生物科學), Materials Science and Engineering (材料科學與工程), Electronic and electrical engineering (電子信息工程), Computer Science and Technology (計算機科學與技術), and Human Geopgrahy and Urban Planning (人文地理與城鄉規劃).
