About Harbin Institute of Technology
Founded in 1920, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) has developed into an open, multidisciplinary, research-oriented,leading national university with science and engineering as its core. Encompassing management, liberal arts, economy and law as a whole.
After nearly 100 years, HIT has developed into a large nationally renowned multi-disciplinary university with science, engineering and research as its core. It has established its own unique programs related to the field of astronautics that are unparalled anywhere in China. HIT have broadened our established disciplinary programs by utilizing a cross- disciplinary curriculum and as such have formed a comparatively full disciplinary system that consists of key, emerging and supporting programs. HIT now has 24 schools/departments, including 86 undergraduate programs, 147 masters' programs, 81 doctoral programs offered to 42,695 full-time students. It has 9 National Key Laboratories, 47 Ministry Level Key Laboratory. The university employs 2,939 full-time teachers, and 39 members of the prestigious Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering.

You should refer to the acceptance package (if applicable) and pay attention to all the important information provided by your host institution.
